Ground Protection Equipment
Ground protection is a temporary surface — usually interlocking polyethylene mats, trackway panels or geotextile membrane — laid over soft, uneven or finished ground so people, vehicles and plant can cross it safely without causing damage.
Mats spread load across a wider area, which prevents rutting, compaction and bogged-down machinery. They lay quickly by hand, lift cleanly at the end of the works and can be reused across multiple phases, which usually makes hire far cheaper than reinstating a damaged surface.
